Target Gets Big Tax Break
The Denver City Council on Tuesday approved $5 million in tax financing for a new Target store that officials hope will spark the redevelopment of the former Tamarac Square Mall off of Hampden Avenue.
Denver Home Prices Remain Flat
The average home sold in that month lost 0.8% of its value, compared with a month earlier, and prices were down 3.8% from 12 months earlier, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index of 20 major markets.

Thornton’s City Council, hoping to lure metro Denver’s first Cabela’s store, approved measures March 20 to give 63 acres of land to a developer and pledged $15 million in improvements to the area southeast of 144th Avenue and Interstate 25.

Hydrogen fuel cell cars are electric cars but, instead of storing electricity in a batteries, they generate it on board in fuel cells. The fuel cells combine hydrogen gas with oxygen in a process that creates water and a stream of electricity. That electricity powers the car -- but without the long charging times.
