EXIT Realty Agents Team Up With Agents Across North America

EXIT Realty Agents Went Door to Door to Educate Renters About Home Ownership

Denver  CO, 12/15/2012 - This past weekend in a coast-to-coast concerted effort to educate renters about the possibility of owning a home for equal to or less than the amount they are paying in rent EXIT Realty Agents knocked on thousands of rental doors. In this so called “down market” one thing is certain, now is the time to invest in real estate or purchase your own piece of the American Dream. Loan programs that require the purchaser to put little to no money down and pay little to no closing costs combined with current low interest rates make owning a home easier than it has been in countless years. Many people who do not own a home wish they did, but are not aware of just how easy it can be to purchase. “Our economy is wrapped around the real estate market, so to improve the economy consumers need to be educated about the current real estate market, how the market works, and how they can help to improve it,” says Johnny Loewy, Corporate Trainer for EXIT Realty Corp. International. Real estate specialists understand that decreasing the inventory of homes available on the market is a key component to improving the market overall. “Our associates at EXIT Realty Denver Tech Center & EXIT Realty Cherry Creek agreed that if America is not getting the message about how and why they should invest in real estate, we’ll take the message right to their door,” comments Sheryll White, Broker /Owner of EXIT Realty Denver Tech Center & Cherry Creek. The team at EXIT Realty is committed to doing their part to improve the real estate market and the economy where they live and work by providing community education to anyone who would like to learn more about the possibilities and benefits of home ownership.

10 Smart Things I've Learned from People Who Never Went to College

Great article I found in Forbes.  I hope you enjoy!

1.  You can learn something useful from anyone.

Whenever we find ourselves ignoring someone because we’ve already determined that they aren’t “smart” enough to say something meaningful, we’ve made a big mistake. Besides being presumptuous and arrogant, this mindset blocks out every useful thing the other person might pass along. Instead of just listening and mining the conversation for nuggets of wisdom, we allow our pre-existing bias to brand everything as  “not smart enough for me.” Incredibly bad idea. I’ve yet to meet someone who couldn’t teach me something.

Yea! Home Prices Hitting Bottom. Now, the Bad News.

This is a great time to buy a home in many parts of the country. There are signs that the downward price spiral is bottoming out. Mortgage rates are at historic lows.

The next few years could well be remembered as the best opportunity for Americans to buy homes since the postwar baby boom.

But one group's opportunity is another group's problem. Tens of millions of baby boomers and other home owners have seen their equity shrunken or wiped out completely. Many were counting on their homes to help finance their retirements. Often they have been waiting for years for the market to turn. Now they find themselves on the short end of the deal, sellers into the buyer's market of the century.

Housing Passes a Milestone

The housing market has turned—at last.

The U.S. finally has moved beyond attention-grabbing predictions from housing "experts" that housing is bottoming. The numbers are now convincing.

Nearly seven years after the housing bubble burst, most indexes of house prices are bending up. "We finally saw some rising home prices," S&P's David Blitzer said a few weeks ago as he reported the first monthly increase in the slow-moving S&P/Case-Shiller house-price data after seven months of declines.

“We know that a social conversation will surround the Olympics,” said Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics. The work with Facebook, he added, is part of the division’s plan to listen and to talk back.
